At 35 I was diagnosed with arthritis, and told to lose weight or I would end up with little or no mobility. The doctor was clearly having a bad day but in the end I took his advice and lost 60 plus pounds. Also started weight training and .Aerobics That was all well and good but my knees were killing me! So taking the Aerobics out of my routine and adding Yoga and Pilates to increase mobility strength, balance and flexibility I was able to cut back on pain relievers.
At 47 teaching Pilates and Yoga, training with AFAA, and feeling better than ever before.
I teach at a YMCA, LA Fitness, a community church and private lessons.
